Seconday infertility-blocked fallopian tube?

Question: Seconday infertility-blocked fallopian tube?

(Posted by: jscarlett8 on 2010-01-26 08:45:57)

To make a long story short, I have been trying to get pregnant with baby #2 since May 2008. My son is now 3 1/ 2 and his pregnancy happened after one month, so of course there is some frustration and confusion. My OB just recommended me to a infertility specialist since 4 rounds of clomid did not work. I will have some diagnostic testing, and from what I read, they will check to see if my fallopian tubes are blocked. Could it be possible that this is the problem, even though it was not an issue with my first pregnancy? Any input or experience is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Your tube can be obstructed just from wear or prior infections. You'll probably have to get a Hysterosalpingogram. This is done in a Radiology department... Good luck!
